Read the following for answers to common problems. If the answers on this page don't help, please contact us.
If you can't logon:
If you use the wrong password and userid, the login script will say "Bad Login." Use the forgot password link on the login form to retrieve your userid and password. If the login script says "Welcome" and then treats you as if you are not logged in, you have a cookie problem. If so, read on:
This site uses cookies for logon purposes. You must enable cookies on your browser for the logon to function. If you have a firewall or other security program, it may have disabled cookies. You will need to configure the firewall or other security program to allow cookies, at least for this site. Most browsers can also disable cookies. If you do not have a firewall or other security program, check your browser configuration.
If you can't enter a war, view tab, or talk to your team:
This site restricts access to certain areas use HTTP REFERER checking. If you have a firewall or other security program, it may be blocking your computer from sending HTTP REFERER information. You will need to configure the firewall or other security program to allow HTTP REFERER to be sent, at least for this site.
If you can't vote:
The voting system uses a popup window. If you have a popup blocker running, you need to turn it off or configure it to bypass this site in order to vote. If you don not have a popup blocker, you may have a firewall or other software that performs the same function. Run this test: visit 5-6 free guitar, midi or mp3 sites. If you don't see a bunch of popup ads, you have a popup blocker running.
If you can't audio chat:
The audio chat only works with Windows systems. If you don't have Windows, it won't work. It also has not been tested and often does not work with high end studio-quality audio cards.
If you can't download Mp3s:
First, you need an Mp3 player. We recommend WinAmp. If you have an mp3 player, and it doesn't behave properly, or it used to behave properly and now doesn't, generally the easiest way to fix the problem is to re-install the software. Here is what we think is the cause: competing Mp3 players (real audio, windows media player, winamp) often steal file associations from each other in unpredictable ways. This causes the treatment of your Mp3 files to change. A re-install of your preferred program puts all the associations back the way the preferred program expects them to be.
